Rawl plug rawl bolts are a general purpose anchor bolt for use in brickwork, stone, concrete. It binds with the substrate to make a high performance fixing to help transfer and even load spread, that is then secured by applying the specified torque.
The simplest – and strongest – form of anchor bolt is cast-in-place, with its embedded end consisting of a standard hexagonal head bolt and washer, 90-bend, or some sort of forged or welded flange (see also stud welding). The last are used in concrete-steel composite structures as shear connectors.
Rawl Bolts are screw-threaded metal fasteners that are used to secure incredibly heavy objects with solid concrete surfaces. They consist of a bolt, expansion brackets, and ferrules to hold all parts together. Their physical composition offers a greater degree of expansion and tolerance to variations in hole sizes.
Anchor bolts are designed to attach structural elements to concrete. In our industry, anchor bolts are typically used to attach steel to concrete. One end is embedded into the concrete, while the opposite end is threaded to attach structural support.
